Notes on “Requirements in the wild: How small companies do it”

May 7, 2009

Requirements in the Wild: How small companies do it. J. Aranda, S. M. Easterbrook, G. V. Wilson.

The authors interviewed twelve small companies in Toronto and present information for seven of them. Each manages its requirements differently. The requirements lead is always a founder, CEO or other senior employee. Requirements processes are tightly coupled to business strategy and customer expectations.

The multiple-case exploratory case study methodology might be a good way to explore why the Software Carpentry participants think the course will help them.
